Usage License

Every icon you export from MeshKit comes with a license. Your plan determines what that license covers. This page explains what each plan allows, what is prohibited for everyone, and what happens in edge cases like cancellations or account termination.

This page is a plain-language summary. It is not a legal document. The full binding terms are in the MeshKit Terms of Service at meshkit.design/terms. If there is any conflict between this page and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service governs.

2.1 What you get

Your Free plan comes with a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license. Here is what that means in practice:

• You can use exported icons in personal projects, hobby work, and internal tools with no restrictions.
• You can use exported icons in mockups, wireframes, and prototypes without attribution.
• You can use exported icons in commercial projects — live products, websites, marketing materials — as long as you include attribution wherever the icon is publicly visible.
• You get 20 exports per calendar month. This resets on the 1st of each month.

2.2 What is required

If you use a MeshKit icon in any commercial context, you must display the following attribution clearly wherever the icon appears: Icons by MeshKit (meshkit.design)

Attribution must be legible to the people viewing your product. Putting it only in your source code, your readme, or an internal document does not count. It needs to be where your users can see it.

A general credits page buried in your footer that most users will never find also does not satisfy this requirement. Attribution should be adjacent to or directly associated with the context where the icon appears.

2.3 What you cannot do

• Use icons commercially without attribution
• Hand off paid client deliverables without attribution
• Redistribute or resell icons as standalone assets
• Include icons in a competing icon pack or asset marketplace
• Access or extract the underlying GLB source files
• Use automated scripts or bots to bulk-download icons
• Share or transfer your account to someone else
• Use icons to train or fine-tune any AI or machine learning model
• Use icons in unlawful, defamatory, or harmful contexts
• Register any MeshKit icon as a trademark or logo

3.1 What you get

Your Pro plan ($10/month) comes with a full commercial license. Here is what that means in practice:

• You can use exported icons in any commercial context without attribution. No credit line required anywhere.
• You can use exported icons in SaaS products, web applications, mobile apps, client deliverables, agency work, marketing materials, landing pages, and advertising.
• You can use exported icons across multiple projects under the same account.
• You can hand off assets as part of paid client work with no attribution requirement on your end or the client's end.
• You get unlimited exports with no monthly cap.

3.2 What is not required

Attribution. Pro users do not need to credit MeshKit anywhere. Your exports are commercially clean.

3.3 What you still cannot do

• Redistribute or resell icons as standalone assets
• Include icons in a competing icon pack or asset marketplace
• Access or extract the underlying GLB source files
• Use automated scripts or bots to bulk-download icons
• Share or transfer your account to someone else
• Use icons to train or fine-tune any AI or machine learning model
• Use icons in unlawful, defamatory, or harmful contexts
• Register any MeshKit icon as a trademark or logo

4.1 No Redistribution or Resale

You cannot redistribute, resell, or sublicence MeshKit icons as standalone assets, as part of a bundle, or as part of any icon library, asset pack, or marketplace. This applies even if you have modified or combined the icons with other assets.

4.2 No Competing Use

Icons exported from MeshKit cannot be used in any product, platform, or service that directly competes with MeshKit, including other 3D icon libraries, icon customization tools, or asset marketplaces.

4.3 No GLB Source File Access

MeshKit does not provide access to the GLB source files underlying any icon. Attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or intercept these files through any means is a breach of the Terms of Service.

4.4 No Automated Access

Using bots, scripts, crawlers, or any automated tool to access, scrape, or bulk-download MeshKit assets is not permitted.

4.5 No Account Sharing

Your account and licence are non-transferable. You cannot share your login credentials with anyone else, whether a colleague, employee, contractor, or client.

4.6 No AI or Machine Learning Training

You cannot use MeshKit icons to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or develop any machine learning model, AI system, image recognition system, or generative model, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

4.7 No Trademark Registration

You cannot register any MeshKit icon, or any derivative of a MeshKit icon, as a trademark, logo, or any other form of registered intellectual property in any jurisdiction.

5.1 Required Format

Icons by MeshKit (meshkit.design)

5.2 Where It Must Appear

Anywhere the icon is publicly visible. This includes:

• Published web applications
• Mobile apps
• Marketing websites
• Landing pages
• Social media content
• Printed materials

5.3 What Does Not Count

• Attribution only in source code or comments
• Attribution only in internal documentation
• A credits page that end users cannot reasonably find

Failure to attribute in a commercial context is a breach of your licence and may result in account suspension.

6.1 What Happens If I Cancel Pro?

Your Pro plan stays active through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

Any icons you exported and deployed while your Pro plan was active keep their Pro license.

New exports made after you revert to Free are covered under the Free licence and attribution rules apply.

6.2 What Happens If My Account Is Terminated?

If your account is terminated for a breach of the Terms of Service, your licence is revoked.

Assets that were legitimately exported and used in compliance with your licence terms before termination are not retroactively invalidated.

You must stop using MeshKit assets for any new contexts after termination.

6.3 Can I Use MeshKit Icons in Client Work?

Pro only.

If you are doing paid client work, you need a Pro plan.

The Free licence does not cover commercial deliverables handed off to paying clients without attribution.

6.4 Can I Use the Same Export Across Multiple Projects?

Yes. There is no per-project limit.

6.5 Can I Modify Exported Icons?

Yes. You can resize, recolour, and integrate exported PNG files into your designs.

You cannot sell or redistribute modified versions as standalone assets.

6.6 Can I Use Icons in NFTs or AI Products?

No.

Icons cannot be used in NFTs.

Icons cannot be used to train, fine-tune, or develop any AI or machine learning model.
